Russia’s foreign minister has also accused Western countries of pushing for referendums in Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine. Earlier, in a joint statement on reforms, India along with 31 countries had said that the Security Council should be expanded in both permanent and non-permanent categories. The signatories to the Joint Statement stated that they reaffirm that the urgent and comprehensive reform of the Security Council is necessary to bring the United Nations in line with contemporary world realities, which are important for international peace and security. is the main component.
