Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said Bangladesh is moving forward due to maintaining communal harmony. During the war of independence there was no distinction between Hindus-Muslims-Buddhists-Christians in this country. All participated in the freedom war and the country became independent. At any cost this harmony will be maintained and the country will move forward.
He said this at the ‘Sheikh Hasina Gold Cup Football Tournament’ on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 76th birthday at Lalmohan in Bhola on Friday (September 30).
Bhola-3 Constituency MP Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon and Youth and Sports Ministry Secretary Mejbah Uddin also spoke on the occasion. Bhola Deputy Commissioner Taufiq-e Elahi Chowdhury, Bhola Superintendent of Police Saiful Islam and Lalmohan Upazila Chairman Freedom Fighter Ghiyas Uddin Ahmad were present at this time.
The Home Minister said, no one will work in any hardship. Under no circumstances will there be a repeat of Comilla during the ongoing Durga Puja. CC cameras have been installed in all the puja mandaps in Bangladesh and there is adequate security with volunteers.
