Staff Reporter:- Pistol Rafiq’s wife Nilufa Begum said that the people of Kunjihat area of Borhanuddin Upazila were always in fear due to Pistol Rafiq’s rampage. Nilufa also said that after the arrest of Pistol Rafiq, the Godfather of Kishore Gang in Borhanuddin, there has been some relief among the people of the area. Kidnapping co-accused Rafiqul Islam alias Pistol Rafiq’s first wife Nilufa Begum also told reporters that Pistol Rafiq is a man of dishonest character, a black businessman, a womanizer, and the godfather of Borhanuddin’s teenage gang. Nilufa complained that Pistol Rafiq always has domestic weapons with which Pistol Rafiq does various crimes in the dark of night. Nilufa showed the documentary and told the journalists that a picture with domestic weapons has gone viral before when the discussed terrorist Pistol Rafiq was doing terrorist activities. He said you showed these pictures to the nation. Nilufa also said that even this pistol Rafiq married me and embezzled my money and property and divorced me along with two children after various physical and mental tortures. With regard to which even now, the legal case of child and women abuse is going on in the learned court. Nilufa said with tears in her eyes, “I am requesting the intervention of MP Mukul, the leader of Borhanuddin, on this issue. Meanwhile, in the case of abduction of 12th class student of Bhola Govt Fazilatunnesa Mahila College, in the case of kidnapping, RAB-8’s special operation arrested Pistol Rafiq alias Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan along with his accomplice Kamrul Islam. The father of the abducted student said that on November 16, 2022 at 12:20 p.m., a 12th class student of Bhola Govt Fazilatunnessa Women’s College came out of the gate of the college after class, and Rafiq alias Rafiqul, a well-known top terrorist and criminal don in the crime world of Borhanuddin Kunjer Hat area of Bhola. Islam Bhuiyan (50) and Kamrul Islam Bhuiyan (18) along with other unidentified accomplices were forcibly taken to the microbus by four and five persons. A hefty ransom was demanded from the family of the kidnapped student. The student’s father filed a case at Bhola Sadar Police Station as the plaintiff, Case No. 37/17.11.2022. When the incident was written in social media and newspapers, RAB 8 noticed. As a result, the Bhola RAB started a shadow investigation into the 8-camp incident. A smart team of RAB 8- Bhola rescued the victim under house arrest from the house of accused No. 2 in Hat Bazar area of Borhanuddin police station. A cross team of RAB 8 arrested accused No. 1 Md. Kamrul Islam Bhuiyan (18) and co-accused No. 2 Pistol Rafiq aka Md. Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan (50), the mastermind of the case. The in-charge of Battalion RAB 8 said that the two accused have been handed over to Bhola Sadar Model Police Station for further legal action. Regarding the matter, the father of the victim, a retired army officer, said that the incident was directly and indirectly handled by Pistol Rafiq alias Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, I demand exemplary punishment for all the abductors including Rafiq. When asked about the matter from SI Rafiqul Islam of Bhola Sadar Police Station, he said that I myself, the investigating officer of the case, did the kidnappers abduct the victim from in front of Bhola Fazilatunnesa Mahila College. The student was rescued alive from the house of Pistol Rafiq, the abductor who planned the incident. The case is under investigation. In a joint operation with RAB 8 Battalion, Pistol Rafiq alias Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan and Funda Kamrul alias Kamrul Islam Bhuiyan were able to arrest two accused. It is noted that the kidnapper No. 1 accused Kamrul Islam alias Funda Kamrul lives in Hasan Nagar Union of Borhanuddin Upazila and the accomplice and mastermind of the kidnapping Pistol Rafiq alias Rafiqul Islam lives in Kunjerhat of Borhanuddin area of Bhola.
