The 11th Interpa conference is going to be held in Dhaka with 127 representatives of 45 countries including Bangladesh. It will be held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital for three days from next Monday. According to sources, 76 police training academies or institutes from 59 countries are members of Interpar. Its headquarters are in Turkey. This Interpa conference is being held with the aim of increasing inter-relationship, exchange of skills and experience between police training institutes of different countries. Its operations are conducted from Turkey. Interpa holds conferences in different countries every year. The 10th conference was held in Turkey in 2021. This year (year 2022) is going to be held in Bangladesh under the management of Bangladesh Staff College. All formalities have already been completed. This conference will play an effective role in increasing the efficiency of the police.
The conference will discuss about the policing activities of different countries. At this time, there will be a discussion about various challenges and dynamism in conducting policing activities.
Sources also said that the countries that participated in the conference will pay their respects at the tomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj next Tuesday. On the last day of the conference on Wednesday, the chief guest will be Bangladesh Police Chief Dr. Benazir Ahmed. There will be some paper presentations on that day.
