BPL Governing Council announced the names of seven franchises ahead of this season’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The governing council has also fixed the remuneration of the cricketers. In the upcoming tournament, the highest category domestic cricketer will get a remuneration of 80 lakhs and the minimum 5 lakhs.
In a press conference on Monday (September 26), the BPL Governing Council announced the determination of the remuneration of domestic and foreign players.
The upcoming BPL has divided the domestic cricketers into seven categories. The highest category is A and the lowest category is G. According to the new fixed price, the highest category domestic cricketer will get 80 lakh taka and the minimum 5 lakh taka. The maximum remuneration for foreign cricketers is fixed at 80 thousand US dollars.
Apart from this, the BPL Governing Council is not placing any obligation on the direct signing of foreign cricketers except for the players’ draft. Each franchise can sign foreign cricketers as per their wish. However, a maximum of four and a minimum of two foreigners can play in the eleven.
