According to Article 2.22 of the ICC, 20 percent of the match fees of all the players will be deducted for every over. The Indian team was 4 overs behind the time. Due to this, 80 percent of the fees of all the players were deducted as fine. Rohit Sharma has committed his crime and accepted the proposed punishment. Thereafter there was no need for a formal hearing.
Bangladesh take series lead
After winning this match, Bangladesh has taken a 1-0 lead in the ODI series. A total of 3 ODI series are to be played between the two on this tour. The first match was very exciting. In this, the Indian team batting first was reduced to 186 runs in 41.2 overs.
After coming out to bat, the Bangladesh team looked in good rhythm in the beginning, but the continuous fall of wickets became a problem for Bangladesh. At one point it seemed that the Indian team has made a comeback in the match. Bangladesh had lost the 9th wicket for 136 runs.
