A status of Rafiat Rashid Mithila, a popular actress from both sides of Bengal, is being heavily discussed and criticized on Facebook. On Wednesday (October 5) afternoon, Mithila wrote a few lines from Rabindranath Tagore’s short story Haimanti on Facebook. And with that, the storm of negative comments is starting.
In that status, Mithila wrote, ‘Whatever I gave, I wasted it. Looking back now, it will be sad. There is no such irony as leaving the right to keep the right.’
The status received thousands of comments soon after it was posted. And most of these comments are negative. And in a moment it has been shared quite a lot. The kind of comments that are included in the status are not like to be presented in the language of the newspaper.
Although Mithila was not available to comment on the matter, the Deputy Commissioner of Cyber Security and Crime Department AFM Al Kibria said that cybercrime is a serious crime. Many times the victims complain to us and we find out these criminals and take action. Now the thing to be seen is the nature of the crime.
He said, we try to raise social awareness first. If not then legal action is taken. But we think that social awareness should be increased from the family itself. This is our first job. Then cyber bullying will reduce a lot.
